Meet Crystal. A content creator, YouTube host, and blogger. In this week’s feature, Crystal talks about finding self-worth in Christ and believing God at His word.
Q: What does “Confidence Without Compromise” mean to you?
A: To me, this statement means standing boldly for what you believe in despite cultural or societal changes and popular opinion. It’s remaining firm in your beliefs because you are sure of a particular truth.
Q: How has your faith given you confidence?
A: My faith has not only given me confidence, but it has empowered me to be aware of God’s love and grace over my life. Before fully surrendering my life to Christ, I struggled with deep insecurities and low self-esteem. I still struggle to some degree, but I have come a long way, and I can only give God the glory.
I once believed that having a boyfriend gave me value, so I was ALWAYS boo’d up. It wasn’t until my most painful relationship ended that I realized that there had to be more out of life and that I was worth so much more.
During this journey of discovering how much I was worth, I found God–or rather, He found me.
After years of forcing myself to belong and seeking to be loved by people, God showed me that I am fully known and loved in Him.
I don’t think it gets any better than that. After this realization, confidence immediately followed! I began speaking publicly at different events, and I became bold about my love for God and my beliefs.
Q: What is a go-to Bible verse that you turn to when you need confidence or hope?
A: 2 Corinthians 1:20: “For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through him the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.” This reassures me that God keeps His word, and His promises for my life will come to pass.
Q: What encouragement would you give to other young women regarding living for the Lord?
A: Live for the Lord diligently, and show yourself some grace. Learn, apply as much as you can, and love everyone well.

My YouTube channel originally birthed from a deep desire to share what it looked like for an individual to be young and in love with Jesus. My hope was to inspire young adults to live for God freely. When I came to faith, there weren’t as many Christian bloggers, so I took it upon myself to be the change I wanted to see. I started Crystalsdiary, which then became CrystalOTv–now a growing platform with over 585,000 views!
Q: How have you seen God work in your life and the lives of others during your involvement?
A: I have seen God work through my videos in unbelievable ways. I have received messages from viewers about going from a place of brokenness to healing and feeling inspired and motivated to strengthen their walk with Christ. It all brings me so much joy, and I love that I get to play a role in what God is doing in the lives of others!
