Co-Host, Truth’s Table Podcast

Meet Ekemini. A writer, speaker, and podcast co-host. In this week’s feature, Ekemini talks about identifying biblical truth, living intentionally for Christ, and trusting God’s plan in the midst of uncertainty.

Q: What does “Confidence Without Compromise” mean to you?

A: “Confidence without Compromise” means that my confidence is rooted in God alone and not in myself. It is the love of Christ and the Spirit of God that keeps me walking that fine line of confidence without comprising and giving into the ways that our culture dictates how we ought to live.

Q: How has your faith given you confidence?

A: Walking by faith has been the scariest thing that I have ever done because God only gives you light for the step that you are on. However, I believe God’s word, and I know that my footsteps are indeed ordered by the LORD (Psalm 37:23).

Q: What is a go-to Bible verse that you turn to when you need confidence or hope?

A: To be honest, it all depends on what I’m going through. Currently, I’m clinging to the promise of God found in Mark 10:29-30, “Jesus said, ‘Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life.'”

For me, this is a tangible promise that God sees the sacrifices that I’ve made by literally leaving everything I had and following Him for the sake of the gospel. In due time, He will restore them back to me now and in the eschaton.

Q: What encouragement would you give to other young women regarding living for the Lord?

A: 1 Peter 5:8 comes to mind, “Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

Spiritual warfare is real, and so many people within the church and outside of it are saying things that itchy ears want to hear.

Many people are being carried away by false teachings. Stand firm, and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith.
