Meet Tatiana. A prayer warrior, leader, and encourager. In this week’s feature, Tatiana talks about the power of community and pursuing our purpose in Christ.

Q: What does “Confidence Without Compromise” mean to you?

A: To me, “confidence without compromise” means believing in who God created and called you to be in spite of what ANYONE ELSE believes you should be. It can be difficult to live out your God-given purpose when it is not understood or readily supported, but instead of compromising God’s calling, we must be confident in knowing that we received instructions from God and not man. As God’s purpose for me continues to unfold, I have grown more comfortable with accepting that His plans for me are way better that my own. I can rest in knowing that my steps are ordered by my Heavenly Father!

Q: How has your faith given you confidence?

A: Establishing and building a personal relationship with Jesus is what gives me the confidence I have in sharing Him and professing that He is good and that He is real! I was born into a Christian family and grew up with the knowledge of and exposure to Jesus Christ. However, it was not until I had PERSONAL experiences and encounters with Him that I could truly say that I believed. Accepting Him as my Lord and Savior at the age of ten gave me a solid foundation, but repenting and rededicating my entire life to Him right before my 20th birthday was the beginning of the grace and newness that I walk in now.

I have unwavering confidence in Christ because I experienced life-changing deliverance from sin, guilt, and shame–and that is a testimony I could never deny.

Certainly, I have struggled with doubt and unbelief. But whenever I hear the tempter’s voice trying to tell me that God is not real and that my faith is just a show, I think back to the season when God knocked every taste of sin out of my mouth and gave me a new and clean heart.

Q: What is a go-to Bible verse that you turn to when you need confidence or hope?

A: My go-to Bible verse when I need confidence or hope is Philippians 1:6 (AMPC): “And I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will continue until the day of Jesus Christ, developing and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in you.” This verse reassures me that even when I experience what seems like a setback or when I fail, God is at work perfecting me and His construction in me will not end until Jesus returns!

Q: What encouragement would you give to other young women regarding living for the Lord?

A: I would encourage every young woman to seek out help when you feel like your faith is fading! Please! Reach out when your best efforts begin to seem like they are not good enough. Reach out when you’ve made a mistake, and guilt and shame begins to eat away at you. Reach out when you begin to question your identity in Christ.

In a society that is so self-centered, we have developed a tendency to try and overcome things on our own, but that is the most spiritually suicidal thing we could do.

When God created man in Genesis 2, one of the first things He declared was “It is not good that man should be alone.” Although this verse is often mentioned in reference to Eve being a helper for Adam, it demonstrates how much God cared about community from the very beginning. Ecclesiastes 4: 9-10 says, “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble.” Do not try to live for Christ in isolation. No matter how intimate your relationship with God gets, you will always need encouragement and support. Even Jesus did!

The Rise and Pray Power Call is a platform that I created to push my brothers and sisters in the realm of prayer.

God has given me a burden and passion for prayer and intercession.

He instructed me to begin this work in order to put the power of prayer and the Word of God on display. Rise and Pray occurs every Sunday and Wednesday at 6am EST, and it’s streamed live on Facebook and by phone.

Q: How have you seen God work in your life and the lives of others during your involvement?

A: Rise and Pray has birthed a deeper level of faith in me, and I believe that every person who participates and joins in prayer makes a sacrifice for God, planting seeds that will manifest into unbelievable favor! By faith, I know that this power call has blessed and encouraged others, simply because it is fueled by sacrifice and obedience.
